Trapped in a fake minority
Conspire to gain posterity
Back and forth just vacillate
Fruitless try to motivate
Your only purpose, your own ambition is enchantment
Intrigue, confuse, orchestrate your own entrapment
Bound to stagnation, drown in excuses
Condemned to live under the veil of ignorance and deprivation
Let's compromise, accept their triumph
In this embezzled life
When solid words stand for nothing
Corrupted thoughts dictate the play
Define the substance of existence
Confront the lie, suspicion's raised
A threat that comes, ambush of mind, a sound that lures but we stay blind
Let's compromise, accept their triumph
In this embezzled life
Undermining hopes emerge from floods
Corrosion of judgement floats on mud
Nothing stays rigid, a glimmer of hope
Forever Gone!
Bound to stagnation, drown in excuses
Condemned to live under the veil of ignorance and deprivation
(When) solid words stand for nothing,
Corrupted thoughts dictate the play
Defined the substance of existence
One of the best modern prog metal groups out there... Even their freshmen years were absolutely fantastic... Great EP... One of the only bands I'm truly saddened by, knowing I don't have their music on vinyl... "hint, hint" enemyofthenight
... about the most technical "progressive music" can get without sacrificing harmony, melody, and soul / feel. Favorite tracks : All of them. tooljirashugg
I don’t usually go out much for metalcore/deathcore but this album would easily make my shortlist. Emotionally captivating with great storytelling and an overall solid musical performance. 7/10 RJ
Midwestern prog-metal stalwarts go for the throat on their new EP, featuring a roiling cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' “1979.” Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2019
I like the fact that this guy is not in “omg I love djent so much I’ll only let *that* express in my songs” mode. With his friends he crafts thoughtful and diverse songs which can be either playful or touching. Alice M.
